you can get the required tools for less than the service fee a bike shop will charge you

Varies by bike shop and location but an average would be:
4-5 bucks for each tube. (assuming your current tubes are bad)
10-20 bucks each for the tires.
Plus about 7-10 bucks for each tires for labor.
Add and that is prob. close to what you would pay for both tires. Subtract if you only need one new tire.

If you buy new tires or tubes they will usually do it for free. Otherwise they would charge a minimal service fee maybe about $5.

OK do you mean the tire? as in the tread or the tube? bike tires cost like 40bucks? tube like 10 for good ones? and you should buy a little kit it will be easier and cost less.
